Student organizations provide experiences and opportunities for skills and values development to students in support of their academic program. They allow the students to maximize their potentials, promote self-actualization and foster holistic growth and development.
With these student organizations and activities, there are a lot of opportunities for students to lead a club, run events and participate in activities. These opportunities give them a chance to meet new people, work with others and enhance leadership skills.
List of Student Organizations
The Supreme Student Council (SSC) is the highest policy making body of the Good Samaritan Colleges. Specially, the SSC aims to promote unity, solidarity, cooperation, determination and camaraderie among its members and students of GSC through different programs and activities.
- Nursing Student Organization
The Nursing Student Organization (NSO) is the official policy making body of the College of Nursing. The NSO is tasked to organize, coordinate and direct student activities designed to improve their general welfare.
The Radiologic Technologies Club (RTC) is under the Organization of Allied Students. The members of the club are the students of Radiologic Technology under the department of College of Allied Health Professions. RTC is formed to organize, coordinate to OAS to help students’ general welfare.
- Philipinnes Society of Medical Technology Students - GSC Chapter
The Philippines Society of Medical Technology Students - GSC Chapter (PHISMETS) is under the Organization of Allied Students. The members of this club are the students of Medical Technology under the department of College of Allied Health Professions. PHISMETS is formed to organize, coordinate to OAS to help students’ general welfare.
- Blue Flame Dance
The Blue Flame Dance (BFD) is the official dance group of Good Samaritan Colleges. BFD aims to enhance the innate talent in dancing of the students of GSC in cotemporary, hip – hop, jazz, ballet, break dancing and lyrical.
- Blue Flame Chorale Ensemble
The Blue Flame Chorale Ensemble (BFCE) is the official chorale group of Good Samaritan colleges. BFCE aims to train the innate talent in singing of GSC students and perform in a wide crowd.
- Tanghalang Samaritano
The Tanghalang Samaritano (TASA) is the official acting or drama group of Good Samaritan Colleges. TASA upholds the talent in stage acting of GSC students.
- Students taking Active Responsibility
The Students taking Active Responsibility (STAR) aims to train students to become peer counselors to help in enhancing and implementing guidance services to students. Counseling activities are supervised and monitored by the staff of the Guidance, Counseling and Testing (GC&T) Office
The Good Samaritan Athletics Club is the project of the Athletics, Sports and Physical Development (ASPD) Office which aims to promote sportsmanship and camaraderie among members. Since its establishment, the Athletics Club has actively conducted weekly sports practice and clinic for students who are not knowledgeable about the sports but have the willingness to learn.
- Blue Chronicle
The Chronicle is the official publication of the Good Samaritan Colleges and aims to provide the students, faculty and staff with information on the updates inside and outside of GSC and trends and plans for the welfare of the whole institution. Moreover, the Blue Chronicle aims to hone the writing skills of students under the supervision of SAO personnel.
- The Speech Club
The Speech Club aims to enhance students’ skills in writing, speaking, composing poems, debate and oratorical.
